Real Weddings: Sarah and Eric

Well, well, well, guess who has some lovely photos of a most gorgeous wedding to share with you!!!!!
These are from the wedding day of Sarah and Eric.....and what a simply lovely day it was!

First off, some great looking ladies and gents showing off their bouquets and bouts.
Simply stunningly taken at the Capital!

Next a glimpse of some time alone with the Bride and Groom! So precious! I love it when a couple uses a vintage car...there is such an timeless elegance in that. And this gorgeous car, I'm happy to say is one of my husband's! I love how he has turned his love of vintage cars into a reality that so many couples have been able to enjoy on their wedding day!

On to the church! Love the pew markers and flower girl pomanders!
Just look at that cute ring barer and his adorable sign!

Sarah is just beaming!!!!!

The reception was beautiful, with white and Tiffany blue.
We used lots of curly willow with peonies, hydrangeas and tulips.

And away they went! Congratulations to Sarah and Eric!!!!!
Thanks so much for allowing us to be apart of your special day!

Many many thanks to Melissa McCrotty Photography for the gorgeous pictures!

Real Weddings: Near and Dear

Today I get to share will you the sweet wedding of Nicole and Zac! This wedding was very near and dear to my heart for two reasons.

1) Sweet Nicole is my cousin's daughter. Its soooo much fun to create beauty for the ones you love.
2)The wedding took place in my stomping grounds.....my hometown, Fort Smith AR. I LOVE it there, and am so excited to have several brides there this coming year!

Sadly, I wasn't able to be at her wedding our even see her all dressed up like I do so many of my brides. She got married on one of the very busiest days in June, and I had several weddings to design for in Little Rock that day. That however didn't stop me from creating for her wedding. I went up the day before and set everything up for her.....it turned out splendidly!

We went with a slight woodland feel for Nicole, and it turned out beautifully! You will see the woodland elements come through in the bouquets, ceremony floral and guest table centerpieces.

So without further ado.....Congratulations Nicole and Zac!!!!

Thanks so much to Beaty Photograhpy for the beautiful images.

Real Weddings: Old World Charm

There was such an air of excitement in our shop as we planned and prepared for this ohhh so special wedding day! We loved working with Missie and her mother Lisa, they were so sweet and the old world charm style that they were going for thrilled our souls!

We all held our breath when the day before the wedding, torrential rain was imminent. We hoped it would pass in in time for this wedding.....as so much of the carefully laid out plans were to take place under the canopy of the open sky! A "plan b" was skillfully devised, but we were so so very thankful that it wasn't needed!

And since these pictures speak so much louder than words, I'll leave you to them!

Lantern lit ceremony area with a magnolia leaf garland over the door.

Love, LOVE these "pew markers"! They turned out so great!

At the reception....guest found a variety of small tables/seating areas spread throughout the lawn. Lanterns and candles hung from the trees. Vintage containers and dishes were incorporated into the floral arrangements. Some of the chairs were accented with vintage fabrics to create unique chair covers. The casual vintage elegance wowed and welcomed each guest.

Congratulations Missie and Matthew!!!!!! Thank you for letting us be apart of your day!

Our deepest thanks to Photography by Melisa for the fabulous photos!

Inspiration: An Afternoon Stroll

I LOVE working with clients....let me tell you I truly do! I consider it an incredible gift from above to be able to take a clients desires and help them to expound on it to give it wings. Then to take that inspiration and make it a reality for them! There is such joy to be found there.

Few things however, bring out the joy filled kid in me much like being able to create a concept and design that speaks my language! I get so excited about these concepts as in each case I'm -in a way- the client coming to myself for the job! To be able get to create a concept and run with it. Not creating something that is what the client is looking for and that fits within the perimeters of their needs, but what I'm looking for. This is what keeps my inspiration coming...many times at 4am!

I've added a few photos from just one such "photo shoot" that we created. I invite you to come on a little afternoon stroll with me through this "garden" full of lush floral. Pick a rose or two and enjoy all the classic beauty.

Did you see her bouquet??? Here's a close up, just in case you missed it!! :)
